Final Assessment & Certification

In summary, the final assessment before the conclusion of the caregiver’s programme before certification will include:

a. Written Exam
b. Skills Evaluation
c. Graduation & Job Placement Assistance (if applicable)

After completing training, aspiring Caregiver will need to take a competency exam that tests both the book knowledge and practical skills that they were taught. All aspiring professional Care Givers must take an examination which usually includes a multiple-choice exam and a manual skills test before they become qualified.

The aspiring Caregiver will cover a lot of ground during training in the institute and the exam will test them on various aspects of the job. During the exams, some of the topics include:

a. Activities of Daily Living
b. Infection Control
c. Safety
d. Medical Record Documentation (Data Collection and Reporting)
e. Mental Health Needs
f. Cultural Needs
g. Client Rights
h. Law and Ethics
i. Domestic Violence
j. First Aid
